The School of Entrepreneurship

    Founded in May 2015, the School of Entrepreneurship of Foshan University is aimed at developing itself into a high-level science and engineering university in Guangdong, cultivating students with moral education, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship, exploring new thinking in respect to education on innovation and entrepreneurship, and building a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation Center based on the strategy of developing the Greater Bay Area, developing competent application-oriented talents that have solid academic foundation, practical abilities and the courage to innovate and start up business.

    Over 1% of its graduates started up business in 3 consecutive years, ranking the first in Guangdong, and 97th among China’s undergraduate universities in 2017. It’s named one of the second batch of exemplary schools in innovation and entrepreneurship education in Guangdong, Chinese Youth Entrepreneurship Community (Foshan) of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, School-Business Joint Practical Entrepreneurial Training Base of the Ministry of Education, the National Entrepreneurial Space of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the School-Business Cooperation Case of the MoST, one of the first batch of School-Small & Medium-Sized Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base and School-Business Coordinated Digital Technology Innovation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It won the gold award for China’s College Student Venture Competition 2016, 6 bronze awards in China’s “Internet Plus” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Final in two consecutive years, in which there was a 30 million worth of investment and financing intent on one of its projects, 1 gold award, 4 silver awards, and 7 bronze awards for such competition at the provincial level, 3 awards for organizing competition, and 1 award for organizing the Youth Red Dream Trip.

    It has a number of outstanding graduates in innovation and entrepreneurship, to name just a few: Xie Shuwen, an excellent entrepreneurial alumna and a deputy to China’s 12th and 13th National People’s Congress who was received by China’s President Xi Jinping; Lin Chutao, an excellent entrepreneurial alumnus who was received twice by China’s Vice Premier Hu Chunhua; Li Yingshi, an entrepreneurial postgraduate who was received by China’s Vice Premier Hu Chunhua and former Guangdong Provincial Governor Zhu Xiaodan; Peng Yuexin, a postgraduate who was awarded China’s Entrepreneurial Role Model 2018; Tang Zeqiang, an undergraduate who got the opportunity to perform in the TV programme “Running to the Future second season” on China’s CCTV 1 with his project – Maglev Space Vehicle; and Zhu Zhenwu, an entrepreneurial postgraduate who was granted the 5th National Engineering Master Internship Outstanding Achievement Award.
