Delegation from TUS, Ireland visit Xianxi Campus
Donnacha McNamara, vice president of the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and his delegation visited Xianxi Campus on the afternoon of May 21. Vice-president Lu Qinghua welcomed the guests.
The guests paid visits to the Analysis & Testing Centre, Guangdong Province Key Laboratory of Intelligent Food Manufacturing, and the Robot Industry College affiliated to the School of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation, impressively understanding FOSU cultivation vision, features and cutting-edge achievements in the integration of industry and education. During discussion session, Mr. McNamara focused on the scientific research priorities of the three major research institutes of TUS, namely, software engineering, life sciences and materials science, as well as the distinctive features of intelligent manufacturing-related majors. Lu Qinghua pointed out that bilateral cooperation could be set off as soon as possible along with the MoU signed.
On the morning of the same day, Wen Xi, the vice Mayor of Foshan Government, met with the guests and witnessed the signing of the memorandum of cooperation between the FOSU and TUS.
