Call for Papers and Invited Session Proposals

    The 2008 International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP2008) will be held from 27 to 30 May 2008 in Sanya, Hainan, China. The aim of CISP2008 is to bring together researchers working in many different areas of image and signal processing to foster exchange of new ideas. The CISP2008 proceedings will be published by the IEEE and will be indexed in both EI and ISTP. Selected good papers will be recommended for publication in SCI/SCI-E indexed international journals. CISP2008 will be co-located with the 2008 International Conference on BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (BMEI2008: ), in order to promote cross-fertilization between the broad areas of biomedical engineering and signal processing.

    CISP2008 calls for research papers that report original techniques and approaches, new results and system developments in exciting and dynamic fields of image and signal processing. Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts written in English. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field based on originality, significance, quality and clarity. Authors should use the Latex style files or MS-Word templates obtained from the conference site to format their papers. Authors should submit pdf files of their manuscripts via the online submission system. One Best Paper Award and one Best Student Best Paper will honor the author(s) of papers of exceptional merit dealing with a challenging subject related to the conference technical scope. The prize shall be $150 per paper and a certificate to be issued.

    Sanya is one of China’s premier tourist destinations, with white-sand beaches, charming scenery, hot-springs, and popular activities such as scuba-diving and rafting.  More than 20 ethnic groups, including Han, Li, Miao, and Hui, inhabit Sanya and make Sanya a wonderful place to appreciate the various cultures of China.
INVITED SESSIONS
    To promote international participation of researchers from outside the country/region where the conference is held (i.e., China), foreign experts are encouraged to propose invited sessions.  Each invited session should have at least 4 papers. Invited session organizers will solicit submissions, conduct reviews and recommend accept/reject decisions on the submitted papers. All invited session organizers will be acknowledged in the conference proceedings. Each invited session proposal should include the following information: (1) the name(s) and contact information of invited session organizer(s); (2) the title and a short synopsis of the invited session.
