數(shù)學(xué)與大數(shù)據(jù)學(xué)院邀請鮑靈格林州立大學(xué)謝向東教授作線上學(xué)術(shù)報告

       12月3日上午，數(shù)學(xué)與大數(shù)據(jù)學(xué)院邀請鮑靈格林州立大學(xué)(Bowling Green State University)的謝向東教授作線上學(xué)術(shù)報告。謝向東教授利用騰訊會議(ID：404-480-951)作了題為“Rigidity and flexibility of maps between Carnot groups”的學(xué)術(shù)報告。周青山博士主持報告會，學(xué)院戎海武院長以及校內(nèi)外多位教師與學(xué)生參會。

       本次報告主要內(nèi)容是Carnot群上映射的剛性和靈活性。謝向東教授首先介紹了與Carnot群有關(guān)的基本定義和一些簡單的Carnot群的例子；然后介紹了Carnot群產(chǎn)生的背景，并介紹了一些經(jīng)典結(jié)果；最后介紹了Carnot群上幾類映射的剛性和靈活性。整個報告在活躍的氣氛中進行，與會的老師同學(xué)在報告的過程中提出很多問題，謝教授都耐心的一一解答。報告結(jié)束后，謝教授與師生們進行了熱烈的討論與交流。謝教授的報告深入淺出，與會師生受益良多，學(xué)術(shù)講座在熱烈的掌聲中圓滿結(jié)束。

       謝向東教授簡介：Xiangdong Xie is currently a professor at Bowling Green State University in the US. His research interests are in Geometric Group theory and Geometric Analysis. He got his Bachelor Degree from Fudan University and received his PhD from University of Utah. He has visited Mathematical Sciences Research Institute at Berkeley, Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics at UCLA and University of Pisa. He has held various positions at Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica(Beijing), Washington University in St. Louis, University of Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Georgia Southern University.
