數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)院邀請(qǐng)美國(guó)德克薩斯大學(xué)RGV分校馮召聲教授作學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告


       應(yīng)佛山大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)院特聘教授夏永輝教授和和吳楚芬教授的邀請(qǐng),美國(guó)德克薩斯大學(xué)RGV分校馮兆聲(Zhaosheng Feng)教授于12月13日,在行政樓423開(kāi)展了主題關(guān)于Parabolic System of Aggregation Formation in Bacterial Colonies”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告。吳楚芬教授主持學(xué)術(shù)講座,學(xué)院微分方程與分析團(tuán)隊(duì)年輕博士與研究生參會(huì)。

       報(bào)告摘要:The goal of this talk is to study a fourth-order nonlinear parabolic system with dispersion for describing bacterial aggregation. It shows that unlike the model without dispersion, a bacterial cluster can move, which allows us to consider dispersion as some kind of control for bacterial colony. Analytical solution of traveling wave is found by taking into account the dispersion coefficient. Numerically, we demonstrate that the initial concentration of bacteria in the form of a random distribution over time transforms into a periodic wave, followed by a transition to a stationary solitary wave without dispersion.

 

       馮兆聲教授簡(jiǎn)介: 美國(guó)德克薩斯大學(xué) RGV 分校 Carlos and Stephanie Manrique de Lara 講席教授、Distinguished Career Award 獲得者。主要研究方向是非線性分析,動(dòng)力系統(tǒng),數(shù)學(xué)物理問(wèn)題,數(shù)值計(jì)算與模擬等,曾于2015和2021年兩次獲得德克薩斯大學(xué)年度杰出科研成就獎(jiǎng)。現(xiàn)任國(guó)際知名學(xué)術(shù)期刊CNSNS的共同主編和EJDE的執(zhí)行主編,同時(shí)擔(dān)任八個(gè)(Elsevier, Springer, IOP)的國(guó)際SCI學(xué)術(shù)期刊的編委和AIMS應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)系列數(shù)學(xué)叢書(shū)的編委。
